u know someone is having a rough day when their favorite song plays and they don’t sing along

No one will understand how much this just broke my heart.

Do you ever want to talk to someone but

1) You feel like you’re bothering them or coming off clingy
2) You don’t have anything to say, you just want to talk to them
3) You don’t know how to hold a conversation to save your life

in norwegian, we don’t say “i love you,” we say “det som engang var” which means “my love for you burns brighter than a church” and i think that’s beautiful

♡ Cliff Burton (February 10, 1962 – September 27, 1986) ♡
Cliff, tomorrow it will be 28 years since you passed away. You are thought of so often, loved so dearly, and missed so much. Your spirit and your heart are still alive in Metallica’s music. It always will be. Even though you have been gone for almost thirty years there are still young kids that are discovering Metallica for the first time and are picking up a guitar because of you. Like me when I first started listening to Metallica they are probably blown away by those strange sounds coming out of your bass. I couldn’t believe that the intro to For Whom the Bell Tolls was a bass guitar! That totally blew my mind. I never heard anything like that before. The bass guitar wasn’t something I paid attention to but you changed that forever. Your attitude, your love of books, horror movies, your love of music of all genres especially classical, and just the way you lived your life inspires me more than I could ever say. When I listen to Orion I think of you and all of the happiness and memories you have given me through your music. Isn’t it crazy that someone you never knew could be such a great friend through music? That’s how I think of you and Metallica. As a friend that was always there for me when I needed them. Thank you Cliff, thank you. You have changed my life and for that, I will never forget you.
Rest in peace xoxo
